Emotion Coaching

Real-life support

YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD. SOME DAYS ARE STILL HARD.

Less second-guessing.
More “I can do this.”

You want to be patient. You want to feel connected. And sometimes, between the big feelings, the repeated reminders, and the bedtime battles, you need a fresh way forward.

We’re Samantha and Keren. We help parents bring warmth and structure together, with tools that make sense for your child and your family.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Look beneath
the behavior.

Explore what your child may be communicating, and notice the patterns that keep you both feeling stuck.

02 / CONNECT

Make room for
the feeling.

Build your language for empathy and encouragement, while staying clear about what is and isn’t okay.

03 / LEAD

Find your
steady next step.

Practice respectful limits, realistic routines, and thoughtful consequences you can follow through on.

Our approach draws on Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) and Gottman Emotion Coaching.

SUPPORT FOR THE EVERYDAY

For the moments
that leave you
at a loss.

Start with what feels hardest right now.
There’s room for that here.

WHEN EVERYTHING FEELS TOO BIG

“How can I help my child
without losing my calm?”

We’ll explore how to recognize emotions, respond with empathy, and hold a limit when your child is having a hard time. Your feelings belong in the conversation, too.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Good questions.
A place to begin.

Who is parent coaching for?

Parents and caregivers who want practical support with communication, boundaries, routines, cooperation, and their relationship with their children. We welcome parents at every stage, with a particular focus on the early childhood years, ages 2–8.

Do we work with both of you?

Individual coaching is with Samantha or Keren, using a shared approach and resources. Workshops and community gatherings bring us together. Ask us about current availability and the best fit for your family.

Is parent coaching the same as therapy?

Our work at Step Forward Into Parenting is educational parent coaching. It focuses on parenting skills, goals, and everyday family interactions. It does not include psychotherapy, diagnosis, or behavior-analytic treatment. We can discuss whether coaching fits what you’re looking for.

What does getting started look like?

Send us a brief message about the support you’re interested in. We’ll discuss your goals, current options, format, and fees so you can decide on a next step. Workshop and coffee meetup dates are shared as they become available.

Do I need to know STEP already?

No. We’ll introduce the ideas in everyday language and connect them to your family’s real experiences. You can begin with curiosity and one thing you’d like to feel better about.

LET’S TAKE THE NEXT STEP

You don’t need
all the answers
to begin.

Tell us a little about what brings you here.
We’d love to hear from you.
